Nursing Mom Recipes
For nursing moms whose babies are sensitive to or allergic to milk and soy proteins.
Black Bean Soup
1 sm onion, diced
1 can black beans, drained
1 lg. tomato (or four cocktail tomatoes), diced
1 lg. carrot (or six baby carrots), diced
¼ tsp. cumin
¼ tsp. curry powder
¼ tsp. dried minced garlic (or one clove, diced)
½ can water
cooked rice for serving (optional)
1. Prepare above ingredients.
2. Once vegetables are diced, place all ingredients in a crock pot.
3. Set crock pot on low for approximately 7-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
4. Serve over rice for a hearty soup/stew.
